ACTIVITIES

Activities as follows will be implemented through schools, colleges and general public.

  1. 1. Preventing the extinction of bird species
  2. 2. Maintaining and wherever possible improving the conservation of all bird species
  3. 3. Conserving and wherever possible appropriating, improving and enlarging sites and habitats important for, birds
  4. 4. Helping, through birds, to conserve biodiversity and to improve the quality of people's lives
  5. 5. Integrating bird conservation into sustaining people's livelihoods
  6. 6. Conserving the forests, its surroundings and wild life at large

BLUE

The elegant blue stands for schools gelled with various activities for their own awareness and the public. The following broad activities are earmarked for the blue brigade.............(elaborately detailed in our Web)

  • Creation of Butterfly gardens, rain groves in schools
  • Bird watching
  • Competitions on socially relevant issues such as nature conservation, deforestation, water preservation and so on
  • Creation of backyard gardens with the support of the club
  • School level participants can elevate themselves to State Level and International level brigade members and represent regions
  • Painting competitions on socially relevant issues
  • Elocution­ Speak out what you feel!
  • Mimes and Dramas­ Acting out your role in protection of nature
  • Sightseeing will be organised by the club for these young activists to explore, research and learn!
  • Public forums will be held once a month on the same. Various ecological issues will be discussed at national and international levels

RED

The vibrant red stands for colleges (including professional colleges) interwoven with exciting and challenging activities.

  • Rain groves will be created at these levels even within their colleges
  • Competitions and activities will be held among collegiate level such as:
  • Documentary, short film and feature film competition
  • Photography Contest­ Real­life photography contest with regard to conservation and preservation will be held at college level and an exhibition will be held on the same.
  • Public forums will be held once a month on the same. Various ecological issues will be discussed at national and international levels
  • The striking chord of this group is that these youngsters get the opportunity for going on International and National tours to get exposure

GREEN

The serene green for the public who are members of the club. Every district will have one or more club.

  • This group gets to participate in all environment issues and movements
  • Discussion on pressing ecological issues that are faced by the community and initiate remedial/preventive measures against it
  • Dinner meetings will be held every month and a guest speaker will be present along with various cultural activities related to the environment. A strict vegetarian menu will be followed for the dinner meetings
  • International trips for bird watching, particularly migratory birds for those keen and amateur ornithologists
  • Public forums will be held once a month on the same. Various ecological issues will be discussed at national and international levels
